Fujitaka is the father of Touya and Sakura and the head of the Kinomoto household. He is a kind and intelligent man and can be quite athletic when the need arises. He married Nadeshiko when she was quite young, only sixteen years old, and against the wishes of her family. Especially hurt by this was Sonomi, her cousin and also the mother of Tomoyo. Fujitaka has always been saddened by this to some degree, mostly because her family just did not understand their love. Almost nothing is known about Fujitaka's own family. As a professor of Archeology, he often does field research, and it was during one of these expeditions that he was able to acquire the book of The Clow. Seemingly unaware of its magical powers, Fujitaka filed it among his other books in his large basement library. There it stayed until one fateful day.
